Oh Lord...

I just finished reading Rob Bell's "Velvet Elvis"

...an amazing book 

and i want to put what he's saying into practice..

I'm trying, I really am.
I don't just want to live the "church lifestyle"--

I want to live the "Jesus" lifestyle.
i want to get back to the church's original roots--
                                                 serving others rather than myself

..exhausting my energies on the lives of others 

rather than my own


I'm ready to be a vessel,
                                      a tool,
                                                 an instrument


i need waves that crash into me, 

eroding myself and leaving nothing....

 but who He wants me to be

i need Heaven on Earth
               ...and im ready to do what it takes to bring it here.

im not talking about evangalism
im not talking about street ministry

im talking about genuine kindness, compassion,   love.

i want others to look at me and not see a Christian...
                                                     

                             i want them to see a disciple of Jesus.


I need to bring Heaven to Earth
I need waves.
I need Jesus.
