A Better Condition

It's The Final Countdown!

Finals Season has arrived at Flagler...
Tomorrow i have a speech final...
(easy)

and i have a in-class essay in English 101
(semi-easy)

i dont really plan on studying for these two

but wendsday's math and american lit finals?

yea...im gonna need some knowledge.
and prayer.

Foot Status: Still unable to use left heel

--walked with only one shoe in the cold
haah cold pavement really hurts to walk on...

Like Knives...

Today was alot of fun...
a little bit painful, but def. fun

actually it was really painful haha

it all started this morning...
after church we head to my house for some lunch--
after lunch we finally get to go out...
 to the deep marsh woods (see earlier post)

absolutly beautiful :)

i was really glad to share it with jess,
cause its my favorite place on Earth.
we trek through the mud until we reach a road
we get my mom to pick us up

by us i mean me, jess, silly girl, and ethan

than me and jess go exploring on my own

we went to my reading spot in the woods

all went well till i tried leaping over a creek bank

i land on what i think is a twig

CHKKKK!
all of a sudden theres this sharp pain in my foot

that kind where you know youve been punctured

yea
that pain.
turns out i landed on a rusty, dirty, nail
it went right through my shoe, deep in my foot

i limp, bleed, groan back home with jess
we go to solantic
--essentially a fast food doctors office


and i get a tetanus shot :(
my whole left side hurts now.
plus i have finals.

but im still really happy
im just close to God
and he's blessing me and Jess

Thank You God for the good times...
and the really, excruciatingly, painful ones.

Is That A Breadline?

..The news has finally hit home. 1.9 million jobs lost...

and now its my turn.

the church i work at had to drop 19 employees today..

keep in mind there were only 27 to begin with.

anyone who hasnt been working for 9 years or more

...well we all got the ax.

i can still do landscaping with vince though

so im not between a rock and a hard place yet.

beside it all...im actually really happy,

christmas is almost here and i get to spend it with jess

which will be amazing!

also i get to hang out with ethan all day

we're making cookies and listening to music.

after that im goin to the nutcracker with jess and silly girl

which im looking forward to :)

haha im such a dork.

The Mountains Are Calling And I Must Go

Time's flying by so quickly i don't really know what to do with it all.
i just want everything to be slow for a while. I feel as if...
time is just slipping through my fingers like so many...
...drops of water.

I have cupped hands trying to save every bit I can...
but it always slips out.

I don't know.

Whatever.

I need to start eating healthier. Seriously.
My mood is all weird cause I've been eating crap
these past couple of days.

On the plus side I found lots of free new music.
...which is always nice.

My Mind In Tiny Little Boxes...

So i was reading aurora's (sp?) blog and got blog tagged...so now i have to comply to her horrid demand that i list off ten things noone knows about me hahaha

1. I love a hot frisco melt...but i feel guilty when i eat one

2. I actually think pop music isnt all that bad

3. Ive always had a secret wish that i could have telekenetic powers
...i still try to move things with my mind sometimes.

4. I actually really dislike big parties because I can't control them.

5. I can sit for hours at the zoo just watching animals
...and never wanna go home.

6. I hate taking vitamins becuase they make my stomach hurt...
...but i do it anyways cause it makes me feel like im a good person.

7. The sound of a washing machine helps me sleep better.

8. Empty houses scare me a little.

9. Whenever I see a rug with the corners or sides curled up...
i just wanna put weights on the edges to smooth it out...
it takes alot of self control not to.

10. I brush my teeth three times with different toothpastes...
cause Im afraid of cavities.

So I'm completely weighed down with homework..

i have a math test in 4 hours, 14 worksheets to do,

 some finals to study for, etc.

ugh.

im in american lit right now 

but i want to be in bed. that would be nice.

its hard to believe that we're only 3 weeks away from christmas

time is moving so quickly its absurd...

it seems like only yesterday i was merely thinking... 

about a trip to DC with jess...

now its merely weeks away :)

i really hope it snows. that would be lovely.

i have way to much homework 

it seems as if flagler is throwing some final punches

Sex, NPR, & Flash Floods

So I returned from thanksgiving break with a new addiction...

one so potent...ive lost all control over it...

im addicted to NPR--

for those who live under a boulder,

NPR stands for National Public Radio

It's suprisingly good...i dont know why i like it but i do.

im listening to an audio stream on the internet actually.

haha im such a nerd.

all that considered, 

I'm currently reading Rob Bell's SexGod which is amazing

His thoughts on the ties between sexuality and spirituality...

theyre fascinating--i simply can't describe them to you.

its def. a favorite--especially after reading Velvet Elvis

its under lockdown due to a flash flood.

two people have been evicted from their room...

and their carpet needs to be replaced...

all because a pipe broke in a bathroom.

Grant, down the hall will probably live with us now

...i sleep at jess' house so he'll get my bed probably...

but all of his stuffs ruined..just sitting in the hall.

in other events...our room is stinky soooo

 ive gotten a rag soaked in febreeze, 

stuck it on my little fan...and now it smells gooood

im just glad this weeks coming to a close.

..that God has given me peace about everything.

and that he forgives...

no matter what.

that kind of love is simply amazing.
