Can You See At All?

So yea--i find myself in the library doing a massive amount of backlogged hw so im procrastinating

and this election year ive grown alot
having watched church after church try to meddle in the affairs of the state i realize that the church is broke.

that doesnt mean it cant be fixed but right now the church is heading in the wrong direction.

Instead of sharing the Message of Christ, they impose it upon people (i.e. gay marriage debate, prayer in schools) causing more and more people to be disenfranchised with God. The church is trying to turn the realm of politics into the realm of the conservative republican-ism and anyone who isnt on the same bandwagon as every other church member is ostracized.

Since when was Jesus a conservative republican?
Since when did Jesus say it was our Christian duty to vote?

We, as Christians, aren't of this world according to the Bible...
why then do we feel the need to rule it and repress people who think differently than us...in the name of Jesus?

To be honest...i'm ashamed of the church right now...
I'm just trusting God for change in his people...

or maybe i'm the one who needs to change..

no, dont change.
the church is definitely not what it used to be in "jesus times", yknow? its changed so much. Used to be people would just exactly follow God, plain and simple (though i hate using those words in relation to christianity), but now people read too much into it.
in reality, WE as christians are the church, which is why a lot of non-christians are turned off of God. Not good!
but im glad you noticed :P
